OPPORTUNITIES FOR VIETNAMESE SMES TO
INTEGRATE INTO GLOBAL SUPPLY CHAINS
Statistics demonstrate that only 21 percent of Vietnam’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) have successfully participated in global value chains, which is manifestly low compared to 46 percent in other ASEAN members. Despite the fact that a wide range of worldwide key manufacturers have set their production in Vietnam and provided manufacturing and supporting industries with numerous opportunities, without cooperation, Vietnamese firms are still struggling to join global supply chains.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) through its Linkages for Small and Medium Enterprises (USAID LinkSME) project will support
Vietnam Manufacturing Expo 2019 (VME), Vietnam’s Leading Exhibition on Machinery and Technology for Manufacturing and Supporting Industries, scheduled from August
14 – 16, 2019 at I.C.E, 91 Tran Hung Dao, Hanoi. VME attracted nearly 8,000 trade visitors last year.
USAID LinkSME will offer a
special 50% booth discount for up to
10 companies in metals and electronics sectors who wish to showcase their products or services for business matchmaking with many manufacturers and suppliers at the trade show. Opportunities are available on a first-come-first-served basis.
Come source potential partners, approach the most up-to-date global supply chain trends, and join USAID’s pavilion. Click here to get the discount and reserve your exhibit space, or contact Mr. Tien Nguyen: nguyentien@LinkSME.org | 096 563 8777 for more information.
